The first of Automotive Technologies Congress ( Otekon 02 ) was held in 2002, the second ( Otekon 04 ) in 2004 and the third ( Otekon 06 ) in 2006 by the Mechanical Engineering, Department of Uludag University and have been found quite successfull by the academic and industrial environments. The fourth Automotive Technologies Congress ( Otekon 08 ) will be held by Mechanical Engineering Department of Uludag University in Bursa, Turkey from June 1st – 4th, 2008.

Today, automotive industry is facing with fierce competition. In order to meet today’s global market requirements, there is a need to introduce advanced production and information technologies to produce higher quality products at less cost with shorter lead times. It has been recognized by both academic and industrial environments that the introduction of new technologies are crucial needs for
competitive automotive industry.

The aim of this congress is to bring together people of different disciplines, who have involved in the automotive industry, to present and share the knowledge of new developments and the latest advanced technology outcomes in the area of vehicle production and technology.
